Don’t automatically search for network files and printers when you use windows explorer
To disable this option open ‘My Computer’ and go to tools and folder options.  From here click the view tab and unceck ‘automatically search for network folders and printers’.  Apply your changes, click OK and then restart your pc.  You are away!!
